A Life On The Water

It feels like it has taken me a long time to get here, like really here and ready to write to the world. Writing has always been a part of my life and as far back as I can remember I have been the quintessential storyteller. Yes I was the girl who always talked too much in class, talked too much out of class and was frequently referred to by my Father as “motor-mouth”. I guess I have always had a lot to say…..until I didn’t… but that’s a whole other story!

I knew it would take something significant for me to actually start writing this blog. Mostly because I worried that no one would want to read it, but does that matter? Really? So finally I am here with so much to share and an incredible journey ahead and I want you all to be a part of it. But first let me tell you about me.

I am Sherryn (Shezz). I am a 54 year old woman who really can’t believe I am 54 and who refuses to believe that this age will in any way define me or my ability to have loads of adventures in the future. I have two amazing daughters who I raised on my own until I met the absolute love of my life (Gavin) around 13yrs ago. We merged our families (he has one daughter) and live a very, very happy life. We now also have four grand daughters….poor Gav he is surrounded by girls!

We live in Queensland, Australia and we are avid scuba divers and I may have a slight addiction to underwater photography. We have had a dream for a long time that when we retire we should buy a boat and sail around the world. Which brings me here, because, we are making that dream a reality. I was going to wait and start writing when we have the boat but the reality is there is so much to do to get ready and I want to share all of it. Join me on this adventure and I will cover the importance of the correct mindset, decluttering and minimalist living, weightloss, health and wellness, budgeting and finance, choosing our floating home, living on the water and adventuring around the world. Phew! That seems like a lot!!!
